Account Access

Account access rights are determined, set up, and maintained by the vendor. Vendors have access only to their own catalogues. For each of their trading partners (retailers), the vendor determines the data that the trading partner can access in the vendor’s catalogue.

Vendors can set the degree of trading partner access to their data at one or more levels:

Account (trading partner)

Selection Code

Product

The flexibility of this feature allows a vendor to grant unrestricted access to some Selection Codes and or Products and restricted access to other Selection Codes and/or Products for each retailer.

Types of Access

For each retailer, vendors have a choice of access types that they can set at each level:

Restricted—A retailer has no access to data at that level.

Unrestricted—A retailer has access to all data at that level.

Selection Code—A retailer’s access to data is defined for each Selection Code.

Product—A retailer’s access to data is defined for each Product.
