Opening a Downloaded CSV Text File in MS Excel

This topic describes how to work with a downloaded OpenText Active Catalogue text file within Microsoft Excel (MS Excel). The procedures step you through the process of opening the text file in MS Excel so that the format of the GTINs, Selection codes, and Products is preserved.

Note: Catalogue creates a comma separated values (CSV) text file that has a .txt extension rather than a .csv extension. This allows you to open the text file in MS Excel and then set specific options so that the format of your data is preserved.
