Containers (for example, prepacks) and components are indicated by the following codes or descriptions in the Prepack/Container Code field and Pack column:

PP (prepack component)—GTIN is a component of a container and sold only as part of a container.
|
Note: A GTIN can be a component and not have PP designation if the GTIN can also be sold individually.
|
|
PU (prepack container)—Assortment of GTINs; the components, but not the container, are consumer sellable.
|
|
|
PC (prepack container)—Component quantities are subject to change.
|
|
|
SP (setpack container)—GTINs are ordered as a group and sold to consumers either as a group or separately.
|
|
|
MP (multipack container)—Consumer-sellable group of GTINs, usually the same GTIN.
|
|
|
IP (inner pack or pack)—a logistical unit between case and each
|
|
|
CA (case or masterpack)—may be contained in one or more DS, PL, or MX
|
|
|
DS (display shipper)—may be contained in PL or MX
