Using Group Edit to Correct Errors

If you review the cause of an error and realize that the same error exists across all data you have sent, you can use group edit to apply the same change to a selected group of errors. Group edit is a powerful feature that allows you to:

set all actions to a specific action (add, replace, update, delete)

replace an action with a different action (replace “update� with “replace�, replace “delete� with “add�, etc.)

search for a combination of a value, a UOM, and/or an account number for a selected attribute and replace one or more of them with a new combination of a value, a UOM, and/or an account number

Note: In most cases, it is preferable to edit the source data (for example, the item master) used to generate the batch file that you load into Catalogue. However, there may be instances where you need to temporarily fix data already pending at OpenText so that the data being sent to your trading partner is not delayed.
