Online Correction of Errors : Levels of Error Processing

Levels of Error Processing

You can analyze and fix errors by using Error Processing to drill down into subsequent levels of detail.

*
Error Processing (document list) page—Displays error documents. Each error document contains the errors generated by a single input document. You can click on a document to open subsequent pages and with more detail about the error:
*
Error Processing (error type list) page—If the error is not an EDI Error, this page opens to displays all errors for the selected error document. All errors are grouped by error type. A description identifies the type of error. Each group of error types can be expanded to display a list of all errors for that error type. You can click on an error to open the Error Processing (error detail) page; this is the next level of detail.
*
Error Processing (error detail) page—This is the lowest level for an error that is not an EDI Error. This page displays details about the selected error, indicates the attribute values that are invalid, and allows you to correct the values.
*
Error Processing (document translation error) page—If the error is an EDI Error, this page opens to display a fragment of the EDI document that highlights the error. You can also go to the EDI Management Console (EMC) page to see further details about the document. See Section 13 "Working with EDI Data," for information on using this page to identify errors.
Note: Any errors displayed in Error Processing are automatically purged from Catalogue after 60 days.
