Viewing Translation Errors in an EDI Document

Translation errors can occur in the ST segment of an EDI document. Even though translation errors cannot be fixed and resubmitted using Error Processing (EP), EP can help you locate the problem by displaying a fragment of the EDI document that contains the error. You must fix all translation errors and resend the EDI document before Catalogue can fully process the file.

To view a translation error

1	Navigate to the Error Processing (document list) page to find the error document whose translation error you want to view. See “Navigating Error Processing� .

Tip: EDI documents containing translation errors are identified by a status of EDI Error. Filter the list to display only those error documents with EDI errors; from the Status drop-down list, select EDI Error. Click Filter.

2	Click the error document’s hyperlink in the Date/Time column. The Error Processing (document translation error) page opens.

3	Use the information on this page to locate and correct the error in your EDI document.

4	Once you have corrected the error in your EDI document, delete this error document from EP. See “Deleting Errors� .

5	Resend your corrected EDI document.
