Online Correction of Errors : Marking Error Documents as Read or Unread

Marking Error Documents as Read or Unread

The total number of unread errors is displayed in brackets on the navigation panel (Data Management > Error Processing).

On the Error Processing (document list) page, you can manage the list of documents by marking error documents as Read or Unread. The number of errors displayed in the brackets on the navigation panel updates dynamically as you read errors or mark errors as Read or Unread.

You can:

*

For example, one morning you may look at 50 error documents and make corrections for 48 of them. When you go to lunch, you can mark the two uncorrected error documents as Unread so they display in bold typeface, indicating that they have not been corrected.

Another example: Hundreds of error documents arrive displaying the same error description. You realize an attribute is unmapped in your system. You do not need to investigate the error for each item, so you can mark all of the error documents Read (that is, plain typeface) to indicate they do not need attention.

To mark an error document as Read or Unread

1
Click Data Management > Error Processing. The Error Processing (document list) page opens.
2
Note: Deselecting a specific error document deselects the top check box.
3
Click Read to display all selected documents in plain typeface, or Unread to display all selected documents in bold typeface.
Note: The total number of unread errors is displayed in brackets on the navigation panel (Data Management > Error Processing). The number updates dynamically as you read errors or mark errors as Read or Unread.
