Password Requirements

Passwords must meet the validation requirements described in the table below. If your password does not meet the requirements, you will be prompted to type a different password.

Password Description	Requirement
Password different from User ID	The password cannot be the same as the User ID that is defined for the browser interface user (UI).
Minimum number of characters	10
Maximum number of characters	16
Minimum number of numeric characters	2
Minimum number of alpha characters	2
Maximum number of times a character can be used in a password	4
Distinct password	The new password must be different from the previous 5 passwords.
Case sensitivity	Characters are case sensitive.
Upper and lower case alpha characters	Both upper and lower case alpha characters are required, but a mix of both is not required.
Special characters	Special characters are allowed as follows: Characters allowed ~`!@#$%^&*()_+-={}|[ ]\:�;’,./? Characters not allowed < >
Expiration time	The browser interface user’s (UI) password will expire 90 days after being changed.
