Creating a CSV Text File from an MS Excel Spreadsheet

The steps in the following table describe how to create a CSV text file from an MS Excel spreadsheet.

Your CSV text file must conform to the CSV format specifications described in “CSV Text File Format Rules for Catalogue� . Data loaded using a CSV text file must conform to your configured compliance checks and basic GTIN attribute validations and rules.

2. Apply a text format to attributes values that appear numeric, but must be shown as text.	“Apply MS Excel Formats to Attribute Values� .
3. Enter your data in the spreadsheet, one item per row.	“Enter Data into the Spreadsheet� .
4. Save the spreadsheet as an MS Excel (.xlsx) file (to retain full data information).	“Save Your Spreadsheet as an MS Excel File� .
