Self-Service Administration by Super Users

Retailer, vendor and distributor administrators (super users) can add and maintain users for their account. They can also reset passwords, view permissions for defined roles, and view users assigned to a role.

There are two types of users:

Interactive—A retailer, vendor or distributor who uses the UI to access Catalogue.

Batch—A retailer who uses an EDI 832 document to send EDI requests to Catalogue to retrieve data, and a vendor or distributor who uses an EDI 832 or EDI 888b document to load their data into Catalogue.

Note: Super users can only add interactive users. They cannot add batch users.

If a retailer wants to send EDI requests to Catalogue to retrieve data or a vendor or distributor wants use EDI 832 to load data into Catalogue, the OpenText administrator (super admin) must add a separate batch user for the account (with corresponding batch password).
