Save Your Spreadsheet as an MS Excel File

Save the spreadsheet as an MS Excel (.xlsx extension) file.

From the File menu, select Save As.

The Save As window opens.

In the File name box, type the name of your file using a .xlsx extension.

In the Save as type box, select the file type Microsoft Office Excel Workbook (*.xlsx) from the drop-down list.
Note: It is critical to save the data using a .xlsx spreadsheet format before you save the file as a CSV text file (.csv extension). If you do not do this, the CSV text file may lose critical information.

Click Save.

The MS Excel file is saved.
