Maintaining Catalogue Data : Moving a Product to a Different Selection Code

Moving a Product to a Different Selection Code

OpenText Active Catalogue can move a Product and all of its GTINs and associated attributes to a Selection Code that you specify.

Note: Traditionally, vendors used the Product Move function to hide or expose a Product to particular retailers by placing a Product under a Selection Code with the appropriate access (Restricted or Unrestricted). The Catalogue now supports Product-level access which allows a vendor to restrict a retailer’s access to individual Products. See Section 3 "Working With Access Rights," .

OpenText Active Catalogue moves the Product and all of its GTINs and associated attributes to the specified Selection Code. It does not change attribute data other than Selection Code data. A message indicates that the Product was moved successfully.

Retailers who do not have access to the Selection Code under which the Product moves will not be able to export the data until they are granted access.

Note: Moving a Product in this way does not impact UCCnet registration of the Product.
