GDS Network Attributes

Accounts interfacing with the GDS network generally use the GDSN filter as the default attribute filter when creating and viewing the GTIN information.

On the GTIN Detail page, the Classification attributes must be populated as described below.

The OpenText Active Catalogue attribute Classification Level 1 Value must be populated with both of the following values for data that will be sent into the GDS network.

A UDEX classification value in XX.XXXX.XXXX format. The value must exist in the UDEX list of allowable values.

A Global Product Classification (GPC) code in an 8-digit numeric format (XXXXXXXX). The value must be an acceptable GPC code.

For those vendors that utilized legacy UCCnet services in the past and previously assigned UDEX classification values to their items, the 1SYNC website contains a suggested mapping from UDEX to GPC. This is not a comprehensive list, but may be useful to some vendors who need assistance with the process. You must have a logon to the 1SYNC (UCCnet) Subscriber web site to access this page. The user ID and password information is provided by 1SYNC once you sign a subscription agreement with 1SYNC.
