Working With Costs and Prices

Each row of Unit Cost and/or MSRP attributes includes:

Unit Cost or MSRP numeric value

Currency (required for Unit Cost and MSRP)

Effective Date (optional unless otherwise noted)

Expiration Date (optional)

Trading Partner (to assign a private Unit Cost to a specific retailer)

Note: The Trading Partner drop-down list includes only retailers with access to your catalogue.

Notes for working with costs and prices include the following:

For Unit Cost and MSRP, use only a numeric value, not a currency symbol (for example, $).

Multiple public Unit Cost value/currency pairs are allowed per GTIN only if their active dates (determined by Unit Cost Effective Date and Unit Cost Expiration Date) do not overlap.

Multiple private Unit Cost value/currency pairs for the same retailer are allowed per GTIN only if their active dates (determined by Unit Cost Effective Date and Unit Cost Expiration Date) do not overlap.

If provided, an Expiration Date must follow the Effective Date in the same row.

Private costs are visible only to the vendor and the specified retailer.
